Journey To Sagittarius A*

The journey leads through the interstellar medium to a place where forces are at work that oppose time. Unimaginable for mankind, events are taking place in the center of our galaxy in dimensions that defy imagination. Almost 27 thousand years are needed for light to reach this point.

Billions and billions of galaxies in the universe host a supermassive black hole in their centers, Sgr A* is just one of them. 8 trillion (a number with 12 zeros) Earths would have to counteract on the scales to keep them in balance.

The center of the Milky Way can be observed from here, while the Earth is so infinitesimally small that it is not even perceptible from there.

Contrary to all knowledge and with increasing intensity, mankind still imagines today that the entire universe revolves around them. Journey To Sagittarius A* is a reminder that in the vastness of the universe we have not the slightest hint of the importance that we presumptuously assume, that we will never attain it and that we are by no means the focus of any existence.
